Data protection
Privacy notice
This notice covers this website and the enquiries sent through it. Processing inside the Better Yield platform, where partners and their customers keep field and soil records, is described separately under Trust and data.
Who is responsible
The controller for the processing described here, within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR, is:
- Name
- Better Yield
- Address
- RaunheimHesseGermany
- [email protected]
Contact form
When you send an enquiry we process the name, email address, organisation and message you enter, together with the time of submission and a short-lived technical record used to rate-limit abuse. We use it only to answer you, on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and in taking steps at your request before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(f) and (b) GDPR). Enquiries are deleted after twelve months unless they have become part of a customer relationship.
Email and phone contact
If you write to us directly, we process the content of your message and your contact details for as long as it takes to deal with the matter, and afterwards for any period we are required by law to retain business correspondence.
Server logs and hosting
Our hosting and content delivery providers record technical access data such as the requesting IP address, time, requested resource, referrer and user agent. This is necessary to deliver the site securely and to detect attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are short-lived and are not used to build profiles of visitors.
Analytics and cookies
This website sets no advertising cookie and joins no advertising network. With your consent we measure how the site is used through PostHog, hosted in Frankfurt: pages viewed, buttons pressed, and a replay of your visit in which everything you type is masked before it leaves your browser. This is stored on your device and requires consent under § 25 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which we ask for before anything is collected. Nothing is requested from PostHog until you accept, so if you decline — or simply ignore the question — no data about your visit reaches them at all and your browser never contacts them. The only thing we store in that case is your answer, so we do not ask again. You can change it at any time through the cookie settings in the footer.
Fonts and images
Fonts and images are served from our own infrastructure rather than from a third-party font or image network, so viewing a page does not disclose your IP address to a font provider.
Booking a call
The optional booking link opens Google Appointment Schedule on Google’s own infrastructure. We receive the booking you make; Google’s terms and privacy notice govern what happens once you follow that link.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection under Art. 15 to 21 GDPR, and you may withdraw any consent at any time with future effect. Write to [email protected] to exercise them. You may also complain to a supervisory authority, in particular the authority for the German federal state in which we are established.
The Better Yield platform
Field boundaries, soil results and prescriptions held in the platform are processed on behalf of the partner or farm that operates the account. Roles, sub-processors, hosting locations and retention are set out under Trust and data.
